Le duo Anouck Genthon (violon) et David Meier (percussions) a pris corps autour de pratiques sonores singulières associée à l’anzad (vièle monocorde touarègue) et au tendé (tambour sur mortier) en écho à une recherche ethnomusicologique menée dix ans plus tôt par Anouck Genthon au Niger. Les deux musicien.ne.s cherchent alors à étendre la perception de ces sons en retraduisant au travers de leurs propres pratiques instrumentales la trace sonore laissée par leur écoute. De l’anzad au violon et du tendé à la grosse caisse de batterie, ils travaillent la matière et se fondent dans un flux sonore en continuelle transformation. Espace de résurgences, temps des mutations, échos de timbres, mémoire des gestes, dilatement, résonances, reflux.

The duo David Meier (percussion) and Anouck Genthon (violin) took shape around singular sound practices associated with the anzad (tuareg one-string fiddle) and the tendé (drum on mortar) in response to an ethnomusicological research conducted ten years earlier by Anouck Genthon in Niger. The two musicians then seek to extend the perception of these sounds by re-translating through their own instrumental practices the sound trace left by listening to them. From the anzad to the violin and from the tendé to the bass drum, they work on the material and blend into a sound flow in continuous transformation. Space of resurgences, time of mutations, echoes of timbres, memory of gestures, dilation, resonances, reflux.
